From exciting new entrants to industry veterans, a scout team will be hunting for a champion worthy of an extensive marketing and PR package
The bicycle industry is one characterized by a large diversity of manufacturers and brands. In addition, there are countless providers of products and services centred around bikes. In such an environment many companies struggle to win the attention of consumers, as well as the trade. Too strong is the market presence of a select few that have been established over the decades. “With the search for a Hidden Champion we want to make a small contribution towards helping consumers realize that there are more brands and suppliers out there than the ones they are already familiar with” said George S. Pascal, Executive Director of ITMS. “We also know from our experience and close contacts within the trade that people are constantly on the lookout for innovative, attractive alternatives. The potential for unknown market participants is very large.”
Selection process and contest specifics
The winner will be chosen by a jury and the decision will be announced immediately after Eurobike closes. The winning company will receive an attractive marketing and PR package from ITMS consisting of two elements. Firstly, the successful candidate will gain global exposure for their company and products via more than 1,500 existing media contacts and an internationally operating PR and marketing agency. In addition, the winner will receive a digital presentation for their new product to be directly introduced to the agency’s specially curated German dealer network of more than 6,000 companies, representing a unique and lucrative opportunity for any brand and product to generate new contacts and expand.
